University of California at Berkeley에서 학사, New York University에서 석사와 박사 학위를 받았다. 미국문화전공에서 대중음악, Western, 1960년대의 저항문화 등 다양한 과목을 가르치고 있다. 문학, 영화, television, 대중음악 등을 분석하여 미국 문화와 역사에 대한 interdisciplinary 연구를 하고 있다.
Roe received his BA from the University of California at Berkeley and his MA and PhD from New York University. He teaches various courses in the American Culture Program, including Popular Music, the Western, and the Counterculture of the 1960s. He does interdisciplinary research about American culture and history through the analysis of literature, film, television, popular music, etc. |

Sang Kee Park is a professor of American Culture at Sogang University, Seoul, South Korea. He received his B.A. from Yonsei University and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Indiana University. He teaches critical theory and digital technology. His research interests include Victorian novel, postcolonialism, and cultural studies. |

(Boo, Kyung Sook)

Kyung-Sook Boo received her B.A. and an M.A. from Ewha Womans University and a second M.A. and her Ph.D. from New York University. She is professor of American Culture and Literature at Sogang University, and has served as Chair of American Culture and Chair of the English Department. She teaches American Studies courses focusing on emergent literatures and film, critical race studies, ethnic studies, and popular culture, with a concentration on Asian American Studies and Native American Studies. Her main research interests lie in the intersections of race, ethnicity, class, and gender in the sociocultural construction of identities and the role of cultural representation in the dissemination, policing, and deconstruction of stereotypes of minoritized identity positions. |

With a Master's and Doctoral degree from Philipps University in Marburg, Germany, Steffen Hantke has been teaching at Sogang University since 2003. He writes about contemporary literature, film, and culture. He is author of Conspiracy and Paranoia in Contemporary American Literature (1994) and Monsters in the Machine: Science Fiction Film and the Militarization of America after World War II (2016). He is editor of Horror, a special topics issue of Paradoxa (2002), Horror: Creating and Marketing Fear (2004), Caligari's Heirs: The German Cinema of Fear after 1945 (2007), American Horror Film: The Genre at the Turn of the Millennium (2010), Gypsy Scholars, Migrant Teachers, and the Global Academic Proletariat: Adjunct Labor in Higher Education (with Rudolphus Teeuwen 2007), and, with Agnieszka Soltysik-Monnet, War Gothic in Literature and Culture (2016). His essays and reviews have appeared in Science Fiction Studies, Critique, StoryTelling, Literature/Film Quarterly, and other journals, as well as anthologies, in Germany, the U.S., and the U.K.
